Membrane Protein Explorer Requirements

Version 3.3.1 of MPEx uses a new deployment strategy called jDeploy (see https://www.jdeploy.com), which should greatly simplify downloading and installing MPEx. The jDeploy installer should also install the required version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (currently JRE version 11) if it is not already installed on your machine.

The new deployment strategy should be straightforward but, if you encounter problems, please let know.

Java Package Graph by Leigh Brookshaw (© 1995,1996 Leigh Brookshaw) was used for the plotting region. The package was originally written for an early version of the Java libraries and has been modified to replace deprecated code and updated from the old inheritance-based event model to the delegate event model to be more compatible with the Swing libraries.
JDBC MySQL driver classes for MySQL database connectivity by Mark Matthews.
BrowserLauncher.class, by Eric Albert, was used for accessing system browsers (MPEx application).
